Our Educators

Amy
Hi, I'm Amy, a dedicated teacher from New Zealand who studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Auckland. I'm all about empowering kids to become confident, capable learners through hands-on exploration and those magical 'aha' moments when everything just clicks. I love partnering with families to support each child's growth and development—because learning is a shared journey! Building connections, celebrating the big and little learning moments, and igniting a lifelong love of learning is what I do best. Can't wait to get to know you and start this exciting journey together!

Lisa
Hello, my name is Lisa. I was born and raised in New Zealand and love the outdoors and nature. I decided to study and learn about children´s education after volunteering in a kindergarten in New Zealand. To me, seeing, helping and contributing to the flourishing of children´s education and helping to create a fun and fulfilling childhood is the most rewarding feeling one can have. I love teaching children about the natural world around them and seeing their faces when they make a new discovery.

Karina
Hola I'm Karina! I was born in Paraguay, but my journey has taken me across the globe. I grew up in the United States and Spain, where the vibrant culture of Barcelona shaped much of who I am today. With a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Barcelona, I moved to Munich as a student—and fell in love with the city, deciding to make it my new home. Here, I've been able to combine two of my greatest passions: nurturing young minds as an educator and exploring diverse cultures through food, travel, and community. Working in a bilingual center has been especially rewarding, as it allows me to embrace cultural diversity every day while helping children thrive in a multicultural environment.

Bianca
Hi, my name is Bianca. I trained as a primary school teacher in New Zealand but I have been working in early childhood for the last few years. My teaching experience has enabled me to work in London and now Germany. Travelling and meeting new people inspires me and I feel that it has shaped me as a person. It’s been an amazing experience joining The Big Little Moments team in June, working alongside supportive and kind people. The children’s needs are met through care, curiosity, and partnerships with parents. I love seeing children develop new skills and the pride they feel when they accomplish something new.

Yeelen
Bonjour! My name is Yeelen, and I am half French, half Moroccan. At the age of seven, I moved to the United States with my family, where I attended a French-American school. This unique educational experience- continuing my French studies while learning a new language and adapting to a new culture- sparked my deep interest in bilingual education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to live in several countries, including Spain, Hungary, and France, which has further shaped my approach to multicultural and multilingual education. I am now thrilled to be back in Munich and part of such a passionate and dedicated team. I truly enjoy working in early childhood education. It is a privilege to help foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning in young minds. I am especially passionate about supporting children on their bilingual journey, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, heard, and inspired.
Art and Music

Karin
Hi, I'm Karin! I'm originally from Chile but have raised my three wonderful children here in Germany. As a German teacher with over 20 years of experience, I bring knowledge, creativity, and passion to every activity. When I'm not inspiring little minds, you'll find me gardening or creating art—activities I love sharing with the children every week.
Private Cook

Irena
Hi, I'm Irene! I'm originally from Poland but have called Germany home for many years. Cooking for children is one of my greatest joys—I love creating homemade, healthy, and tasty meals that are as fun and comforting as they are nutritious.
Management

Big Little Moments is a warm family-oriented Nursery that is lovingly co-owned and managed by three women: sisters Amy and Lisa and longtime family friend Andrea. Amy and Lisa are both qualified teachers who work on the floor at the Nursery in the teaching team and manage the daily running of the Nursery. Andrea an experienced lawyer, who assists behind the scenes with legal and administrative support. At the core of their management philosophy is a deep commitment to fostering a family-like atmosphere where everyone—children, families, and staff—feels valued and respected. Amy, Lisa, and Andrea work closely with their dedicated team to ensure a teacher-led approach to education, where skilled educators guide children's learning and growth in a nurturing, nature-infused environment. Their focus on collaboration creates a strong sense of community, where every child is supported, every family feels connected, and staff members are empowered and appreciated.

Andrea
I'm Andrea, I was born and raised here in Krailling and am a proud mum of four. I'm part of the support and management team here at Big Little Moments, and also have a background as a qualified lawyer. I'm grateful to be part of such a wonderful team! Brunch is my favorite meal—there's nothing better than a relaxed, delicious spread with family or friends. I also have a soft spot for the color pink; it always brings a bit of extra joy to my day.
